The Imamate period of Imam Hasan Askari (AS) (254-260 AH) was the time of growth and development of intellectual and cultural currents. Among the most important groups of the Imam's audiences are caliphs, theological and jurisprudential Shiite sects, as well as the agents of non-Islamic religions and thoughts. According to the intellectual and social conditions, that Imam used methods so that the process of spiritual influence and persuasion could be done well. In this period, people of the book lived next to Muslims and had an impact on the scope of cultural changes. With the central question of what are the methods of Imam Askari (a.s.) in dealing with the people of the book, the present article seeks to know these methods and provide a model in this field in a descriptive and analytical way. This article has examined the most important methods of Imam Askari (a.s.) in dealing with people of the book, including dispelling doubts, turning threats into opportunities, proving his knowledge to attract people, kindness and gentleness in dealing and socializing, disliking polytheism and using occult knowledge to guide people. The hypothesis of the article is that Imam Askari (a.s.) focused on guiding people, while removing doubts and defending Islam, he chose the path of reforming and guiding people as his duty, and reformed the social environment as much as possible. Therefore, this method can be considered as a model in the path of religion promotion, spiritual influence and identity building
