Of the most important sources for knowing the Companions of Ahl al-Bayt are Rijali Books (Books written on Rijal). Rijal scholars validate narrators and introduce people according to their views and research. It is worth noting that Shia scholars have paid attention to Ashura studies. Tanqih al-Maqal is one of Rijali books that deals with Ashura reports. The mentioned book contains news related to Ashura studies, which has not been considered by researchers. However, examining these reports has many benefits. In practice, the level of accuracy of the narrators of news and the attention of the author of Rijali books makes it clear in this matter. It should be mentioned that there is a lot of information narrated about the people in the Ashura event, the names of the murderers and the victims, the quality of the martyrdom of the people and the incidents after the event of Ashura. Therefore, this article examines the Ashura news of Tanqih al-Maqal and answers this question: How reliable is the Ashura news of this book? In the present study, a descriptive and analytical method has been used to

compare the news of Tanqih al-Maqal with the historical data of the ancient and contemporary sources related to Ashura studies. The findings of the study suggest errors in documenting and narrating content regarding Ashura reports in the book Tanqih al-Maqal.
