In the first centuries of Islam, there was a competition between the Sunni discourse prevailing in the Islamic world, and the Imam-centered discourse, and each sought to stabilize the floating signifiers for their own benefit. After the conquests, different parts of Iran took different ways in dealing with the aforementioned discourses, and each of them was attracted to it according to the capabilities of the presented discourse and the convergence of their needs. As one of the influential cities in the formation and development of Shiism in Iran, Qom has a special place in the history of Islam. How to enter and develop the data related to Imam, who is the central sign and the focal point of the Imam-centered discourse, is a topic worthy of attention in Qom.The following article seeks to explain the role of the migration of muhaddith scholars in the development of Imamology discourse in Qom in the 2nd to 5th centuries of Hijri. Analyzing the historical, religious and narrative texts and analyzing the content of the narratives related to Imamology in the narrative sources left in Qom, shows the pervasive effect of the migration of muhaddith scholars in the development of the said discourse in this city and its spread throughout the Shiite world.
