Rings have held a significant place in human life, and they were of particular importance in the sirah (lifestyle) of the Imams of the Shia, especially the two Imams Al- ‘Askariyyīn (the two Shia Imams, Imam Hasan al-‘Askari and his father, Imam Ali al-Hadi). Their use was emphasized and recommended. This research aims to deal with the question of what significance, role, and function rings held in the sirah of these two Imams. The hypothesis proposed is that the Imams Al-‘Askariyyīn, while recommending the wearing of rings and detailing how they should be worn, used them for sealing, blessings, and adornment. The material of the rings, the type of gemstone, and the inscriptions on the stone were points of focus in the sirah of the Al-‘Askariyyīn, and they provided specific recommendations regarding them. This study, based on historical sources and early reports, seeks to clarify the importance of rings in the lives of these two Imams using a historical-descriptive and analytical method. One of the key findings of this research is the meaningful relationship between the inscriptions on their rings and the political, social, and cultural conditions of their time. Additionally, their emphasis on using this Islamic adornment as a recommended practice, along with its merits and virtues, demonstrates the high status of rings in their conduct.
