The relationships between schools, groups, and even individuals manifest in two realms of convergence and divergence, and in each realm, they may experience various stages; indeed, each of convergence and divergence may take on forms that are purely theoretical or practical and can encompass different manifestations, including conflict or contradiction. This research aims to explore the conflict between Ja'far ibn Ali and Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him) by relying on primary library sources and employing a descriptive-analytical method. After clarifying the instances and titles of the conflict, it will elucidate the strategies, actions, and approaches of Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him) regarding these conflicts. The findings of this research indicate that Imam Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him) has made efforts in numerous instances to resolve such conflicts, especially among the Alawis, and by clarifying the concept of Imamate for the Shia community, such as explaining the Imam among his companions and introducing his signs, he aimed to eliminate any grounds for deviation.
